Blog

According to Wikipedia a blog is the following “A blog (a contraction of the term “web log”)[1] is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video.” So basically its where some one waffles on about some that might have interest for some and be meaningless to others, but none the less you no doubt read it anyway.

WordPress 3 and updating from my iPhone

Well finally got around to updating WordPress to version 3, which was a bit of a pain as it would not automatically update so had to do a manual update. Got it sorted eventually and also set up the RPC service so I can update from my iPhone so here you go first post from my phone.

The Horribly Slow Murderer with the Extremely Inefficient Weapon by Richard Gale

This is probably better than most of the Hollywood produced crap seen in Cinemas today, perhaps even better than perhaps Avatar of which I totally did not buy the DVD.

Abandoned Places: 10 Creepy, Beautiful Modern Ruins

I’ve been Stumbling again with StumbleUpon, again came across yet another fascinating selection of photos. This set of photos are of 10 Abandoned locations throughout the world . I’ve always found abandoned buildings  and those that decay or the passing of time both interesting and fascinating, photos are great way to capture history, and photos of places that captures a event or place in history.

City Hall Subway Station NYC
Take for example the Picture of the abandoned subway station in NYC, It was abandoned over 65 years ago yet much of its features and appearance have change little in that time, there is sign of decay but its it still looks as though it where still used today.

That volcano thing in Iceland

Oh how I hate Mondays

Yes its that time again, Monday has arrived which means the weekend is over for 5 days and another work week has begun. Not sure why Mondays always seem be the worst day of the week but it is. If there is one thing I need and that’s a holiday, my last holiday was in December and my next one is not till June but I’d really like another one now :( , oh well just have to keep plodding on till then.

It’s also quite strange looking into the skies at moment, which thankfully to the good weather we’ve had for the last few days is quite clear, its also completely devoid of any Airplanes.

Thanks to the Volcanao eruption in Iceland, and susequent ash cloud that followed, planes pretty much accross Europe have been grounded for fear that the ash will get into the planes engine and cause massive damage, and I am pretty sure we don’t want Planes falling out of the skys now do we.

There are some people out there who claim this is the beginning of the end and that 2012 is going to happen, I say its all a load of tosh and that people need to remember that Volcanic eruptions are natural process that’s been going on for hundreds and thousands of years, if any thing we should be more worried about global warming and the possibility of Nuclear war that want some predicted thousands of years ago.

At the moment I am currently working on getting the logo I’ve had in my head into digital format so I can finally have my one site logo, not sure what tools I will use yet since I am so out of practise but at the moment its between Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, Illustrator I used when at Uni and was an amazing vector tool. Just need to scan the logo I’ve drawn, scan it into my computer and away I go.
